Caylee's Birthday Party!

Caylee had a birthday party last Friday. We rented one of those bouncing house things. I don't know what you call them. Anyway, it was misting the whole evening, and it was dark and the pizza we ordered, well...it wasn't any good...never buy thin crust. Anyway, I hope everyone had fun...I felt like it was a flop...but Caylee said she enjoyed it. So if you're wondering why everyone has wet bottoms...no, they didn't have an accident, they were just jumping and bouncing in a wet bouncer house!

Thanksgiving

We had Thanksgiving at Becky and Ryan's house this year. That is Aaron's brother for those who don't know. We had a great time and great food. After dinner everyone played a little Wii. Colton had no idea that his Wii controller was really just a power strip, in fact he preferred it to the real controller. It worker out well for multiple players.

Playing with Aydia!

I haven't updated my blog in awhile...sorry Emily and Ashley! Here are some recent pics!

Halloween

The kids had a great Halloween...especially cause they were able to "trick or treat" with their cousins. Aren't they all so cute? They also went to our neighborhood Halloween Party. Little Aydia even won the prize for cutest costume. Wyatt isn't in the pictures because I just kept him home with me to pass out candy. Colton made a costume change. He was suppose to be Mater from Cars; his costume was the same concept as Caylee's Sally costume. But he didn't like it haning on him and cramping his legs. So he decided to wear Wyatt's costume instead...it was just a little bit short on him. Colton didn't have quite as much fun as everyone else. After the second house of trick or treating he came face to face with Freddie Kruger...and that was it for him. He wouldn't get out of the stroller and kept hiding his face and saying, "I'm scared!" It's hard to figure out what is real and what isn't at Halloween...especially when you're two.

New Sand Box

We finally broke down and bought a sand/water box. I knew it would entertain the kids for hours, which would be great for me....but Aaron was so worried about having sand all over the house. So far, most of the sand has stayed outside. And the kids are absolutely loving it.

Fall Fun!

We have had a very busy month in October, enjoying all the fall festives. I thought it would be easiest to put all our activities into one slide show. Sorry it's so lengthy, we've just been having too much fun. The weather has been glorious here and we can't get enough of the outdoors. We hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween.

Wyatt is One!

Wyatt had his birthday last week. He is now a big one year old. I couldn't help but put together some pictures of his first year of life. Okay...so really I love to show off my kids! I can't help it.

Brackenridge Park

While my sisters were visiting last week we took the boys down to Brackenridge Park to ride the little train and feed the ducks. Afterwards we went to eat lunch with Aaron. It was a fun, but exhausting day!

Colton Sleeping

Aaron couldn't resist taking of picture of Colton when we caught him asleep. He is such a light sleeper that we really never get to see him sleeping. When we have to wake him up, all we have to do is open his door and he pops up. But this morning he must have been exhausted because I walked in, turned on the light, talked with Wyatt and still Colton didn't move. Only after another 15 minutes of noise and light did he finally wake up.

Back to the Old Look!

Well, some people were having trouble viewing our blog when I changed to a new template. And I don't want anyone to miss out on our exciting life, so I changed it back. Sorry to anyone who had problems! Everyone have a great weekend!

Caylee's School Fundraiser

Hello Everyone! Caylee has her first official school fundraiser, which I'm sure is just the beginning of many more years of fundraising. But she is of course very thrilled to go out and start asking people for their money. The fundraiser is for fieldtrips, student awards, teacher supplies, bike rodeo and more. If anyone of you are interested in giving Caylee your support, it would be very much appreciated. Purchases can be made online and items will be shipped directly to your home. Here is the link http://www.NicholsonFundraising.com/index.asp?PID=21293
But please don't feel obligated to purchase anything.

Mother-Daughter Camp Out 2007

This past weekend Caylee and I went on the Mother-Daughter camp out sponsored by our church. We had a great time! It was nice to have some time together...just the girls. Caylee had a great time swimming, catching tad poles, collecting rocks, roasting marshmallows, and playing with her friends. We can't wait to go next year!

Aaron's latest creation!

Aaron had made Caylee some wood boxes to hold books and toys in when she was about two years old and she has been using them ever since. Well, now that she started school Aaron thought she needed a desk. So decided to use her existing boxes and convert them into a desk. This is the result. The boxes need a little organizing....we're working on that. So now Caylee is set up for doing homework.

Caylee's First Day of School

Well, we just got back from dropping off Caylee for her first day of kindergarten. She was so excited. It was definitely harder on Aaron and I. All the way there Aaron kept saying, "Well, Caylee you're not a baby anymore. I remember when you were Wyatt's age. What happened?" And Caylee just says as she rolls her eyes, "I grew up." She was kind and patient to tolerate us and our separation anxiety.

Update!

Sorry I have been so out of the loop this summer. It's been a crazy and eventful summer. But we have had a lot of fun, too. My sisters Ashley and Emily were home from school for the summer and I hired Ashley to be my part time nanny while she was here. It was great having her around and the kids loved having somebody to play with. We spent many days hanging out at Sea World or the park. We were very sad to see her go last week. My other sister Emily had an internship for most of the summer. Unfortunately, out of nowhere she developed a tumor on her kidney and doctors discovered that she had kidney cancer. She had surgery to remove her kidney and the football size tumor attached to it. She is still recovering and will be missing a semester of school this fall. But we are so glad she is home, out of the hospital, and healthy. We're happy she will be staying in SA for a little longer as well, to finish out her recovery before returning to Utah. Luckily, Emily was able to get in a little fun with everyone before she got sick. We all were able to go tubing down the Medina River, which was a blast. We actually went a few times. We also had fun with friends and family who visited over the summer. We are gearing up for school now and trying to establish a routine. Caylee is so excited to be starting Kindergarten this year. We were happy to find out she has an excellent teacher and we will be meeting her tomorrow. We hope everyone had a fun summer and good luck to everyone starting school!

Summer Fun!

Monster Trucks!

As most of you know, Colton has a fascination with Monster Trucks. He lives and breaths Monster Trucks. One of his favorite movies is the history of Big Foot. His new favorite pass time is to watch Monster Truck rallies on You Tube. Here he is in the zone.

Caylee Starts Clogging

Caylee started dance class this week. She decided to try clogging. She really enjoyed her first class. She says that she loves it so much. She is taking classes at Chrissy's Dance Academy in Helotes. There are five girls in the class and she is the youngest. This is her on her first day.

Caylee's Ears

Caylee made a big decision this past week. She decided she was ready to get her ears pierced. We told her that it would hurt and she would have to take good care of them. Caylee had been thinking about taking on this new commitment for some time now. But she finally decided that it needed to happen "before she started Kindergarten and before she turned six." On the big day, she wasn't scared or nervous one bit. She had both ears pierced at the same time and she didn't even flinch. She was even able to maintain a smile. But as I was paying at the counter, she came over to me and said as she laughed, "Mom, that hurt so bad." We started laughing and I asked her if it was worth it. She said, "I'm glad I did it." Thank goodness she didn't have any regrets. She picked out very cute little pink flower earrings.

Aaron and Christi's 7th Anniversary

Aaron and I have been married for seven years today. It has been quite an adventure, but it has also been the best years of our lives. I put together a little video montage of our years together, going as far back as high school when we started dating. Hopefully, we don't bore everyone. But it has been fun to see how much we've changed over the years.

Wyatt's First Haircut

Wyatt turned nine months this week and also had his first hair cut. Overall, he did well. Holly, who cut his hair, had a hard time using the clippers on him because he kept trying to turn around to see what was making all that noise. He is very curious. But, we got through it and he looks very handsome...just like a little man.

Aaron in handcuffs???

To help explain the crazy, random email sent out to everyone by Aaron's brother, Mike; yes, Aaron and his other brother, Ryan, we're stopped by police. They were apparently stealing their mother's stove right out of her home. Or at least that's what her neighbors thought. They were in fact taking out her old stove to install a new one that all of her kids bought her for her birthday, as a surprise. As they were coming out of the house just about to finish the job, the cops pull up and start yelling at them to "Stop! Step back! Don't move!" They try to explain the situation and thought the easiest way to convince them was to invite them in. They simply said, "It's a really nice stove, come inside we'll show you." They showed him the birthday card, set nicely on top of the stove, and then proceeded to show them pictures around the house of themselves, to prove that it really is their mother's house. It was a funny situation. But no worries nobody was arrested.

New Pajamas

The big event in the Easton House this week was new pajamas. I found a bargain at Disney's site online and got the kids some new pajamas... which was quite exciting for them. Believe it or not Colton, who is two, and Wyatt, who is eight months are both wearing size 2T pajamas. Wyatt is our big baby. He towers over his little cousin Aydia, age one, who is so cute and petite. But Wyatt also has big smiles and love to share. Hope everyone has a great weekend and a fun 4th of July holiday next week.

Trip to Lake Tahoe

Aaron and I went to Lake Tahoe earlier this month. We took little Wyatt with us. We had a great time. Caylee and Colton stayed home with my sisters, Ashley and Emily, and had tons of fun! They went swimming at the pool, and other places, like the library, Sea World and the park. They didn't miss us much because they were too busy having fun. Aaron and I wanted to share some of our photos from our trip. I hope we don't bore you with too much scenery...we just couldn't get enough of it.

Colton's 2nd Birthday

Colton turned two this month. He is getting so big. He talks more and more everyday, and is very active. His favorite thing in the world is "TRUCKS...OOH!" You can pretty much guaranty he is always carrying around a toy truck, sometimes he even sleeps with them. He also loves to work in the garage with his Dad. And despite how much he loves to pick on his little brother, Wyatt and his big sister, Caylee he absolutely adores them both. He can always make us laugh. We are so blessed to have him in our family.
